Wildfires rage through moorland

Island fire crews were stretched this evening as they tackled two wildfires at the same time.
Miles of flames are burning through heather at An Ard, Ranish. The fire line is off the beaten track and fire personnel from Shawbost are monitoring the spread of the blaze tonight.
