Blar Buidhe care home in Stornoway has suspend regular visiting to protect our home.
This is a precautionary measure and is not a result of an outbreak within the home said the care home management.
The visitor ban commence on Thursday and will initially run up to and including Friday 5th February.
Essential indoor visiting and window visits will continue and these should be booked in advance.
Covid testing for essential visitors is available and will be offered when visits are booked.
A spokesperson said: “During this visiting suspension staff will be happy to communicate with families over the phone and we have lots of devices to allow video-calling between residents and families.”
