Part of Perceval Road near to the Fusion roundabout in Stornoway was closed while the emergency services deal with a road traffic collision.
A driver was taken to the nearby hospital.
His van toppled over and landed on its side.
The flipped vehicle came to rest straddling the pavement and over the middle of the roadway.
The van was removed at 1pm but leaking fuel required to be cleaned up and the road made safe before reopening.
No entry was available from the roundabout during the road closure.
Vehicles travelling from the other side is being diverted via Bain Square and Portrona Drive though cars parked on the street is impeding the flow of traffic.
