The swimming pool at Ionad Spòrs Leòdhais is closing for over three weeks due to maintenance works.
Hydraulic rams which operate the floor require to be replaced.
The pool will close at the end of Saturday with the aim of reopening on 21 November, upon completion of the works.
These dates have been agreed on the basis that it will take one week to drain the pool and a similar length of time to complete the work on the moveable floor.
A further seven days is needed to refill the pool and bring it back to temperature.
While it is hoped that this will all be completed within the suggested time frame, the works may be completed earlier or later than expected and the comhairle will provide updates on progress as required.
The comhairle apologises for this period of disruption and appreciates the public’s patience as this essential work is carried out.

However, all other facilities at ISL remain open.
Sports facilities services manager Tony Wade said: "The pool at the sports centre was constructed in 2004 and we have benefitted hugely from having the moveable pool floor which allows us to have a wide range of activities delivered at an appropriate water depth -
“After 18 years the hydraulic rams which operate the floor are at the end of their serviceable life and to replace them we need to drain the pool.
“We anticipate the project will take around three weeks to complete including draining and refilling the pool and getting it back up to temperature.
“We will do our best to keep disruption to a minimum.”
