Sgoil an Iochdair won the under-13-years drama competition at the Mòd in Oban. The South Uist school was awarded the Donald Macdonald Memorial Trophy.

Angus Duncan MacFhionghain was awarded the Cowal Trophy for taking the top spot in the bardachd event for his age group. He was second in the solo traditional singing for learners under 13 as well as winning third in his solo singing event.

 

P1 pupil Muireann NicCoinnich won silver for her singing on Monday.  She was also awarded second prize in the bàrdachd for her section.

Coisir Sgoil an Iochdair won the primary school choir unison event . In addition, the school took third prize in their puirt-à-beul competition.  

Liona NicAonghais competed against 24 rivals to claim first prize in the P3 bàrdachd contest at the Mod. She also received third equal in the solo singing fluent event for her age category.

Other Sgoil an Iochdair competitors who did well were Mairead Ella NicAonghais who won second prize in the solo singing. Second place in the P2 solo singing was awarded to Alex Bell.
