Comhairle nan Eilean Siar said all checks and deep cleans have been completed at Stornoway Primary.

The school and nursery will re-open on Monday 8th March for  all P1-3 pupils and nursery pupils.

Registered children of key workers and vulnerable pupils in P4-7can also attend.

Due to the need for the canteen staff to continue self-isolation there will be a limited service of soup and sandwiches available for any children next week taking a canteen meal. The school will provide information directly to parents about lunch options.

In line with Scottish Government announcements, pupils in P4-7 will be able to return to school from 15th March.

The comhairle thanked pupils, parents, carers and staff for their patience and understanding during the period of disruption to the school.
