Stornoway town centre will be illuminated with festive lights from Friday 26th November.
Unfortunately, for the second consecutive year, an in-person switch-on event will not be held.
Organisers, Western Isles Lottery, said the that following the huge success of last year’s scaled down events, variety of awards and similar competitions will go ahead.
This is the fifth year that local lottery supporters have made the festive display a possibility and it is fully funded from proceeds raised.
Each year, the display has been increased and this year, once again, there are a number of new, sustainable, additions.
The small team spend many months planning the display and a growing number of local businesses benefit from the project each year.
Innes Campbell, ACE Electrical Services, meticulously plans the large scale project with both the Lottery Team and CNES Technical Services over many months.
Pictured is Cally Paterson from the lottery team with Derick, Iain and John MacDonald all of MacMillan Engineering which is constructing a number of new centre pieces to be installed this year.
