Sisters Sofia and Christa Mackenzie were the first to admire the Stornoway Christmas illuminations, passing by Perceval Square at just the right time when organisers switched on the lights’ display.
They thought the display looked nice and they were happy to the tree brightly lit up. It made the town look Christmassy they added.
Lights are draped over the horse and cart sculpture by Porters’ Lodge .
Many hands make lights work. The lottery team thanks the dedicated electricians who spent hours installing the various displays, scrutinising for dud bulbs, testing and double checking to ensure everything was working for the switch-on.,
