South Uist community landlord election results

Five people have been elected to the board of Stòras Uibhist, the community landowner covering Eriskay, South Uist and part of Benbecula..
Ronnie MacKenzie and Iain Stephen Morrison join the board as new faces.
Three existing directors - Donald John Cameron, Donnie Steele and Catriona Walker - have been re-elected.
The five will take their place on the board alongside Norman MacAskill and Mary Schmoller.
Some 488 votes were cast on a turnout of 57.14%.
The postal ballot was conducted on behalf of the organisation by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s electoral services team.
The body’s annual meeting will take place at St Mary’s Hall, Griminish, on 14th September.
