A fisherman working on a Irish shellfish boat 20 miles off Barra has been airlifted off the vessel.
The 33-year-old casualty collapsed aboard the 15-metre long FV Sean Óg 2.
Stornoway coastguard rescue helicopter sped to the location when the alarm was raised yesterday afternoon.
Barra RNLI lifeboat also launched to the scene west of the island.
FV Sean Óg was working crab pots at the time.
