The body of a woman found in the Aird area of Benbecula on Sunday has been formally
identified as 28-year-old Shanahan MacInnes.
Police Scotland said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Shanahan MacInnes was reported missing on Friday.
She was last seen around 1.30am that morning in the Tindill Road area of Balivanich.
A large number of locals turned out in inclement weather to help in the search for Ms MacInnes in conjunction with the emergency services.
