Hebridean Seaweed are located on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. We were founded in 2005 with a vision to create opportunities from the sea and are now the largest seaweed processing facility in the UK. We are headquartered at Arnish Point, just a few minutes from the town of Stornoway at the centre of our harvesting sites. About the role
As a Process Operator you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Operation and monitoring of Hebridean Seaweed’s production plant and equipment
- Diagnosing and trouble-
shooting maintenance related issues - Carrying out plant maintenance and repairs
- Anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner and identifying opportunities for process improvements
- Ensuring production quality standards are adhered to and maintained
- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
Candidate requirements
Experience operating machinery as well as forklift and telehandler tickets preferable. Training will be provided. Driving licence essential as there is no public transport.
