The warning against eating shellfish from West Loch Roag has been lifted.

An alert was issued a month ago after increased levels of toxins were confirmed at survey points in the Lewis sea loch.

People had been warned eating shellfish such as mussels, cockles, or razor fish from these areas around Miavaig and Eilean Tenish may pose a risk to human health.

Fresh shellfish samples from the sealoch show the levels are now safe.
