Divers’ down. The international Alpha flag. Vessels manoeuvring in the inner harbour are requested to proceed at slow speed as divers are operating in the water
A salvage operation is underway to recover a sunken fishing boat in Stornoway harbour. The shellfish trawler, MFV Prevail, flooded and went down while berthed at North Beach quay, near the fish mart, on Friday night.
The plan is for two heavy lift cranes to ease the vessel to the surface.
