The smaller and slower MV Loch Brusda has been called in to operate CalMac’s Berneray - Leverburgh route today

Usual vessel, MV Loch Portain, is undergoing repairs for an oil leak on her twin engines.

Unfortunately, capacity for vehicles is restricted as fewer sailings rather than more can operate due to low tides during timetable hours.

Transportation of certain goods will be given priority to travel including Vehicles carrying food and other goods for shops, medical supplies, fuel, livestock and animal feed.

The Portain is expected to resume service on Friday.
