What you can expect

Working under laboratory supervision, your core responsibilities will be in ensuring that all samples are analysed, reported and checked within the requisite timeframes, carrying out analysis using LIMS and ensuring maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment is undertaken as scheduled.  You will also support analytical method development and maintain an adequate stock of chemicals and consumables for the Quality Control department. Moreover, you will be involved in the preparation of stability trial samples including analysis and reporting and checking analytical results. QC technicians must ensure that OOS, OOE or OOT results are promptly brought to the attention of Laboratory Supervision for further investigation. You will be responsible for complying with the Company health and safety requirements at all times and will work within a good housekeeping framework.

What we expect

With a strong scientific background you will ideally have a degree in a science related discipline coupled with previous laboratory experience and a working knowledge of HPLC, GC, chromatography, LIMS and cGMP/GLP protocols. However, we will consider other scientific qualifications if coupled with relevant and demonstrable experience. You must be able to work to deadlines and will be able to work under pressure. A flexible approach to working hours is required in order to support weekend working and on-call systems.
