Over 100 children took part in the first Stornoway Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Walk on Saturday raising more than £1,000 for Save the Children.
The children undertook a half mile circuit from Bayhead Park led by mascots Peppa and George Pig.
The walk was the idea of Bethany Macleod, three, from Stornoway, who is huge fan of Peppa Pig and wanted to do something to help children in need across the world.
Bethany said: “Thank you to everyone who came along to the Peppa Pig Walk, I hope you had fun and we raised lots of money to help other children.”
Her mum Michelle said: “We were overwhelmed with the amount of money raised on the day and through the justgiving page where people can still donate until the end of the week.
“An additional Buggyfit event is also being held by Carly Yoga to add on to the total already raised.
“A big thank you to all who helped out on the day to make it a special event and we hope to do it again next year.”
Save the Children uses the fundraising to improve the lives of children all over the world.
