Contractors have complete sufficient repairs at Stornoway Primary to return heating and hot water fully to the primary part of the school.
The campus will reopen on Friday for children of key workers and vulnerable pupils.
The premises was affected by serious flooding after vandals gained access at the weekend.
”Major” damage was caused said the comhairle.
Nursery children and under-
Nursery children will attend Laxdale School nursery for the rest of this week.
Eligible pupils can return on Friday morning.
Nursery children should go to Laxdale School nursery on Friday. Their parents will receive direct communication about arrangements for next week as soon as they are confirmed.
Provision for under-
Though schools are closed to the majority of pupils this month, supervised learning provision is being made at schools for children of parents employed in critical services as well as for vulnerable youngsters.
Other pupils will receive lessons online until the extended date of 1 February.
Four school classrooms and three nursery rooms at the Stornoway primary, as well as corridors and a number of meeting and communal spaces were targetted by vandals.
Flooding damage particularly affected the boiler room putting the heating system out of service.
