Technical problems hit MV Hebrides a day after returning from maintenance overhaul
19 March 2021
MV Hebrides develop a “technical fault” at sea forcing her to reduce speed on route to Harris.
The vessel was in the Minch, approaching East Loch Tarbert, yesterday when the issue emerged.
Full speed was regained and the ship safely berthed alongside the pier.
Cal Mac said last night the fault was repaired.
This morning, however, a technical fault held back the ship from sailing by one hour. She will be running late all day.
The Hebrides only returned to her Skye triangle route on Wednesday morning following a dry dock overhaul on the Mersey last week.
She passed certification surveys over the weekend, clearing her to head back to the Western Isles.
