A young Lewis motor sport enthusiast has achieved a lifelong ambition to be a racing driver.
Daniel Macdonald is even competing at Brands Hatch - the UK's much loved race circuit - after an action packed competition last week in opening rounds of Milltek Sport Civic Cup.
Watched by thousands of spectators, the 20-year-old from Tolsta and Ness qualified 14th overall on his May holiday debut at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire.
Currently at 12th position in the standings, the aircraft engineering student improved his pace over three exciting races, quite an achievement for the youth’s first competitive outing in a racecar.
Now, he has six weeks to prepare for the next three rounds of the championship taking place at Brands Hatch on 18th and 19th of June while also scouting for sponsors for this racing season.
