Proposals for a new annual music festival in Stornoway are gaining traction.
A programme of rock and pop music is being drawn up for the late-night concerts.
The promoters - led by Lewis musician Charlie Clark are confident that through industry contacts and knowledge they can attract internationally recognised, prestigious, high calibre, pop music artists to perform.
They hope to stage the inaugural event on the Lews Castle Green in the summer.
Organisers aim to create a prestigious, boutique, destination festival, featuring internationally recognised, top-line artistes.
Significant planning work is presently underway and announcements regarding the festival are anticipated shortly.
The promoters will brief councillors about the event this week.
