Due to significant growth within the company we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Treatment Operative to work as directed by the Mechanical Treatment Supervisor to complete lice treatments. To work effectively and efficiently within the department and assist the day to day running of the treatment operations within your control. Ensuring all duties are carried out in a timely, safe and responsible manner. Ensuring the best practise for fish welfare, equipment and safety standards.
Duties
- Technical Standards – operates to the highest standard of husbandry, biosecurity, and quality standards and supports the Mechanical Treatment Supervisor.
- Treatment Operations – To assist and participate in the daily site treatment process, operations and follow all SOP’s.
- Measurement & Control – Understands the site KPIs and supports both the Mechanical Treatment Supervisor and Site manager to ensure that these KPIs are used to improve site performance
- Health & Safety – Follows safe working practices and ensure a safe working environment exists for all employees on the team. To ensure that all duties are performed in a safe manner so that no risk to health and safety arises to yourself or any other employee. As a minimum meets the standards set out in the Group Health & Safety policy.
- Skills Training – Attends all courses as required; Supports team members with training & development. Only operates machinery authorised and trained to do so.
Skills/Experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass a full ML5 medical Team player
- Experience in aquaculture & fish husbandry
- Full clean driver’s license
- Experience of working on and around boats
- Flexibility on working hours as significant travel required.
