Loganair says it has been hit by a “network wide system issue” affecting online flight bookings as well and check-ins at airports.

A statement from the airline said: “As of this morning, Tuesday 8 April, we are aware of a network wide system issue.

“This issue is temporarily impacting the ability to make and manage bookings across our website, app and contact centre, and is also impacting check-in procedures.

“Passengers are being checked-in manually across all Loganair airports.”

The company advises passengers to “proceed to the airport as normal, allowing for extra time to check-in and drop your bags. Our check-in desks will remain open all day, for all flights.

“If you have already checked-in online and have your boarding card, please proceed straight through security to the gate as normal. If you have not checked-in OR have baggage to check-in, please ensure you bring proof of your booking (electronic or printed) to the check-in desk.”

Loganair added: “Please note we are working hard to resolve the issue and appreciate your understanding during this time.

“If you are trying to make a new booking, please keep checking back for further updates. If your booking query is urgent, please reach out to our contact centre.

“Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding.  Further updates to follow as appropriate.”
