Loganair flight to Stornoway turns back to Glasgow

29 November 2024

This evening’s (Friday) Loganair flight for Stornoway turned back to Glasgow after issuing an emergency code indicating a problem with the aircraft requires immediate attention.

The Embraer had flown roughly 50 miles to the north and was nearly at Kinlochleven when it executed an u-turn and returned to the runway.

Stornoway airport later updated its arrival board to say the flight was cancelled. Waiting passengers for the Lewis to Glasgow service were advised their service would not operate tonight.
