A small boat in trouble was towed into Stornoway after it broke down at sea today.

The 34-foot long craft with two people on board suffered engine problems while one and half miles off the Butt of Lewis.

Assistance was summoned at 2.10pm and Stornoway RNLI lifeboat launched to their aid.

A tow line was established between the two vessels.

The tow arrived in Stornoway harbour around 9pm.
