Joanna Lumley absolutely love the Western Isles when she spent a few days filming for her new travel programme which will be broadcast next week.
The sitcom star was shooting scenes around the islands in October following the guidance for film and TV production.
Ms Lumley said she was captivated by the Outer Hebrides especially the experience of herding cattle across Vallay Strand in North Uist.
“Going across the sands with the huge Highland cattle to their winter grazing ground, it was like something from a film.
“The drone shots were like nothing you have ever seen, the flat glassy sands with these animals longing to get to the little island where they stay all through the winter.
“They have their calves there, they graze there, they simply adore it, it’s like summer holidays to them. It was such a privilege to see that,” she said.
The camera crew also explores the Harris Tweed industry, chatting to Luskentyre weaver Donald John Mackay who shows her how the cloth is made. He recalls the time he supplied 10,000 yards of the famous cloth to Nike for a trainer called The Terminator.
The 74-year-old actress - who says she is three-quarters Scottish - checks the weather forecast for the Outer Hebrides everyday - just had to include the Western Isles in the show.
Joanna Lumley’s Home Sweet Home - Travels in My Own Land came to the Hebrides for an episode on Scotland and Northern Ireland which airs on Tuesday 9th February on STV.
