Injured fisherman airlifted to hospital

An injured fisherman was flown by helicopter to the Stornoway hospital.

The 38-year-old hurt his arm while working creels on a shellfish vessel working west of Gallan Head off the Uig coast, Lewis, on Saturday.

The alarm was raised around 12.30pm.
