A Highland bull sculpture has taken up residence on Macaulay Road in Stornoway.

The carved wooden public art piece stands on an prominent spot on a landscaped grassy mound on Comhairle land at the entrance to the town’s main Co-op supermarket.

It is already a big hit with inquisitive children trying to rodeo ride it.

The bull sculpture which was commissioned by the Stornoway Amenity Trust which got free rein to erect art piece after gaining planning permission from the Comhairle.
