A grass fire by Lochboisdale was reported at lunchtime today said the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
One appliance from Benbecula attended the scene which was close to properties.
The fire was later extinguished.
It is thought flames from a garden bonfire ignited adjacent dry terrain and was fanned by the breeze.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) warns that the present warm, dry weather increases the risk of grass fires.
