Crossroads Lewis is holding a Christmas hamper raffle to raise funds for the vital services it provides.
The care-
It provides invaluable support to people who are the main carers for a family member.
All its services are provided free of charge for the benefit of the people of Lewis.
Fundraising has been badly curbed this year but organisers have put together four hampers for a prize draw -
Stall are selling tickets in Perceval Square on Saturday up to 4pm.
One hamper contains gardening supplies while another is brimming with food and chocolates.
The third holds loads of pampering necessities, and the final hamper is up to the top with cleaning essentials.
The organisation said: “This has been a tough year for all concerned and we at Crossroads are now beginning to feel the pinch of Covid-
“We have been unable to fund raise as we would have done and this has left us in a difficult position financially.”
“We would appreciate it very much, if you are able to buy a raffle ticket for the Hampers or donate to Crossroads via Just Giving.”
Crossroads provides short respite breaks for people in their own home. This is to take over the family carers' responsibilities, to allow the carer to have a break away from their home.
They also provides support for people living alone. As well as providing practical assistance, this supports individuals who may be vulnerable, or who have additional needs, by providing companionship, social or emotional support.
The organisation is an independent charity, providing high quality care respite, regardless of age, disability or illness.
