Due to demand for the Oban - Barra sailing on Friday the MV Lord of the Isles (Loti) will switch with MV Isle of Mull.

The Mull continues to operate with a passenger limit of 45 due after her marine evacuation system was condemned.

The Loti will operate an amended sailing to Castlebay and Lochboisdale.

She aims to depart Oban at 11.40am calling in at Castlebay and onward to Lochbisdale where she will berth overnight.

On Saturday morning, she will sail directly to the mainland.  

This weekend should see MV Isle of Lewis returning to Barra releasing the Mull from the diminished shared ship timetable with South Uist which has affected both communities for weeks.

MV Isle of Mull will operate between Oban and Lochboisdale from Sunday until 8 April when the Loti is due to temporarily return, provide MV Hebrides departs drydock on time to allow the Clansman to return to the Inner Hebrides.

The Loti is also assigned to the Islay run for over four weeks from Wednesday 23 April to Tuesday 13 May.

Due to the reduction in capacity of MV Isle of Mull, all travellers, including foot passengers, are advised to pre-book their journey.
