Budding footballers in Uist have the chance to train like a professional player this summer.
The community arm of Greenock Morton FC is partnering up with Southend FC to hold a two day training session at Daliburgh School next week.
Ferry operator CalMac Ferries is supporting the event.
Youngsters aged between five and sixteen years will train under the guidance of the
club’s UEFA and SFA-
The young players will not only develop their technique and football skills, they will also increase their understanding and knowledge of the game as well as learning about good health, nutrition and match day preparation.
Brian McLaughlin, development manager at Morton in the Community, said: “We hope this is the first of many visits and the beginning of a long standing partnership.
“Our team are extremely excited to make the journey North West and meet the players and families engaging in an excellent two days of football and education.”
