High seas and gale force winds building up in the northern Minch will impact ferry services.

Most of MV Loch Seaforth’s sailings are cancelled on Wednesday due to northerly winds and a high sea swell.

Her 7am departure is on yellow alert. If the vessel sails she will remain in Ullapool until the evening  

Wednesday’s night freight run departure from Stornoway is cancelled.  

Due to very rough seas, no horses or livestock will be carried on the Stornoway route until Thursday.

MV Isle of Lewis brought her departure times forward today to arrive back in Castlebay before adverse weather set in.
