Adverse weather on Monday is causing disruption to Western Isles ferry services.

A force eight gale with strong gusts and rough seas will impact on schedules, particularly during the first part of the day.

All sailings are cancelled between Castlebay and Oban.

MV Lord of the Isles will remain docked in Lochboisdale with her runs to and from Oban cancelled.

The first timetabled sailings are put off on the Sound of Barra service due to high winds.

MV Loch Seaforth may retime her Stornoway departure for an expected lull with the wind expected to drop for a spell. This could cause a wait of up to an hour with a corresponding delay from Ullapool. Travellers should check in as normal.

Journeys on the Tarbert and Lochmaddy routes also face disruption or cancellation in the morning.
