MV Isle of Lewis plans to run ahead of bad weather forecast on Monday.

With a northerly gale brewing, the ferry has brought forward her departure from Castlebay by two hours.

She will now leave at 6am and intends a quick turnaround at Oban to arrive back before the sea state worsens.

Tuesday timetable is liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.

Meanwhile, foot passengers will have to use the car deck for getting on and off the vessel at Oban until the weekend due to works on the passenger access system.
