An engine fault has hit the relief ship serving the Stornoway - Ullapool route.
MV Isle of Lewis is unable to go to sea until the problem has been fixed.
Passengers are waiting to see if they will be able to travel today as the return sailing across the Minch is delayed.
Cal Mac advised: “Engineers are continuing to work on repairs to resolve a technical issue with the port main engine.
“Due to this, the 3.30pm service departing Stornoway is currently delayed.
“There is a heightened chance of further disruption to this service and the 6.30pm service departing Ullapool this evening.”
