At a time when families are worried about jobs, they are not interested in the politics
of fear and smear.
People want someone with a record of fighting their corner; with something positive
to say about the future of Scotland and the Islands.
That’s why, in this election, I am campaigning:
- for RET ferry fares to be maintained after the pilot period ends next year
- for fair fuel prices and fighting Labour’s continuous fuel tax rises
- for a replacement hospital in Barra
- for progress on a Lochboisdale to Mallaig ferry service
- for new jobs in the islands
- to support communities facing school closures
- to get BBC Alba onto Freeview
- for winter weather payments that recognise the windchill factor
- for councils to maintain the council tax freeze
- for a secure economic future for Uist and the Hebrides Range
- for an end to the ludicrous Common Fisheries Policy
And I want the people of Scotland to have their say on Scotland’s future in an
independence referendum.
