It’s about building understanding and engagement in the work of VisitScotland and our partners and encouraging investment in tourism, quality improvements and innovation.

We’ll look to you to provide leadership, influence and fresh thinking. With the ability to move seamlessly from strategic to operational and tactical discussions, and a sound knowledge of tourism on the Outer Hebrides, you will help improve collaborative working make the most of new opportunities.

VisitScotland is committed to playing its part in stimulating new and sustainable growth in the visitor economy.  It recognises, however, that this can only be achieved by working effectively and efficiently with a wide range of industry partners (individual businesses, Destination, sectoral and industry associations, local authorities and stakeholders) in a way that recognises their particular needs and aspirations, improving the quality of the visitor experience.

Stornoway is the preferred location for this position, but other Outer Hebrides locations would be considered.
