Mariners are being warned about a fish farming workboat drifting somewhere in the Minch.
No sightings have been reported so her exact location is unknown though its thought she may be somewhere between Skye and the Shiants.
MV Tiffany of Melfort was tied up near a trout farm in Loch Pooltiel by Glendale in north west Skye but broke her moorings during Saturday morning’s stormy weather.
The unlit vessel, drifted out to sea with no one aboard.
The 19-metre long landing craft is a danger to navigation for other vessels in the area, especially in poor weather.
Coastguards are notifying each ship transiting the Minch and are also broadcasting regular VHF radio alerts.
