Community Development Worker

£21,000-
Full Time, Contract, 15 Months
37 hours per week
Funded Through the Aspiring Communities Fund
This post could be extended if further funding is sought prior to the end of the initial 15 month contract
Applications are invited for a Community Development Worker to identify and engage
with residents living in the Cearns community to ensure fair access to local services
and equality of opportunity.
The Community Development Worker will engage with residents, including children and young people in the Cearns Community and jointly develop solutions to the barriers that they face in accessing services and activities that promote wellbeing, personal development and community spirit.
An understanding of Community Development work is important. Support and guidance will be given by the Cearns’ Community Association, Community Learning and Development CNES and Health Improvement Team (NHS)
Closing date for applications will be Friday the 22nd of March @ 5pm.
Interviews will take place on Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th March. Confirmation will be sent out to successful candidates including time and venue of interview.
