Over the last three weeks a complete renovation of the premises has taken place with the aim of giving a modern and up-
Having traded from Ropework Park on Matheson Road since the business started in 1947, over 75 years ago, the Macleod family is extremely proud of their heritage and particularly the shop location.
Revamp work involved completely gutting the existing shop, including removing the shop front and all internal fixtures.
A new layout has been designed to meet customers’ needs, giving increased chiller space for chilled and oven ready foods..
New and exciting recipes are being developed at the moment to add to the variety on offer for customers.
Specialist food retail shop fitting company, HK Interior, has been contracted for the refurbishment, working with a number of local companies to deliver the full renovation.
Daily updates on social media of the renovation project allowed customers to follow the progress.
Shona Macleod, director at Charles Macleod, commented: “It is very exciting to see the new shop come together after many months of careful planning.
“We have been extremely thankful for all the local support during the renovation.
“Many local businesses have gone out of their way to help us, particularly given the very tight timescale at a difficult time of year.
“Having operated a temporary shop out of the (former) Trading Post premises next door, the team are excited to get the new shop open, and are looking forward to welcoming our loyal customers in on Monday morning.”
