The general election is a straight choice for the Western Isles to connect to change
with Labour or be adrift in the Atlantic with nationalism, according to Torcuil Crichton.
Speaking as the first postal votes drop through letter boxes across Na h-Eileanan
an Iar the Labour candidate urged islanders to use their votes effectively.
Mr Crichton said: “Postal votes are beginning to arrive now for what is the most
important general election in a generation.
“The choice in the Western Isles is to connect to change with a Labour government
or carry on drifting with divided nationalism.
“Every vote counts, post your vote today Vote Torcuil Crichton for Na h-Eileanan
an Iar.”
The Labour candidate added: “Islanders are tired of excuses from government, tired
of the sleaze, tired of the chaos and incompetence from the Tories and SNP.
“Other parties want to use this election to send a message. A vote for Labour isn’t
a signal or a protest, it means a gear change for the islands.”
“It’s a vote to send a government to Westminster with Scotland’s voice at its heart,
with an island MP in its ranks delivering the change the islands need and Scotland
needs.”
‘Change or drift’ is the choice facing Western Isles voters says Crichton
