1979 Celtic Boys Club photo                 26/9/13

Amongst the Celtic Boys Club squad were players who shone at the senior professional level including David Moyes who recently replaced Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager.

Pat Nevin later turned out for Chelsea, Everton, Kilmarnock and Motherwell while Jim McInally, James Edward McInally, manager of Peterhead, did a stint with Nottingham Forest but spent much of his playing career with Dundee United.

In the group photo Manchester United boss Davie Moyes is 7th from the left in the back row, Mercurial winger, pseudo intellectual and now football pundit Pat Nevin is 3rd right in the front row, former Dundee United Stalwart Jim McInally is two to the left of him, and the then Western Isles MP Donald Stewart is 2nd right in the back row.
