A fishing vessel suffered steering problems near off Lewis on Sunday.
One crewman was onboard the eight metre long
creelboat, MFV Taobh Siar, which got into trouble off Dalmore.
Stornoway relief lifeboat, the Roger and Joy Freeman, launched to the casualty while a fish farm support boat and a local charter vessel also proceeded to the scene.
A tow rope was established between the charter vessel and the shellfish boat.
Once the tow made satisfactory progress towards Carloway harbour, the RNLI lifeboat returned to Stornoway.
