A group of island youngsters with autism and additional needs have held a 3k walk to raise funds.
Children, parents and supporters participated in the walk at the Stornoway running track.
Spokesperson Donna Shearsmith said children were also involved in the fundraising part of the event.
She said: “They were given a sponsor sheet and they went round looking for people to sponsor them to do this walk.
“The support from the wider community in helping the children raise money has been amazing.”
She highlighted the youngsters’ “fantastic” achievement.

Autism Eileanan Siar is a voluntary organisation made up of parents of children, young people and adults who have ASD.
ASD or Autism Spectrum Disorder is a condition that affects social interaction, communication, interests and behaviour.
In the UK, it is estimated that about one in every 100 people in the UK has ASD. There is no ‘cure’ but a wide range of treatments including education and behaviour support may help people with the condition.
The group meets in the Bayhead Retirement Centre, Stornoway, between 10am and 12 noon on the second Friday of the month.
