Accolade for Western Isles Macmillan team

The Western Isles Macmillan team has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award for unsung heroes.

The Macmillan Professionals Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding contribution Macmillan professionals make to cancer services, highlighting excellence across the UK and personnel who have gone above and beyond expectations to do whatever it takes to support people living with the disease.

The Western Isles Macmillan team are in the running for the ‘Whatever It Takes’ Award which recognises those who have truly gone the extra mile and demonstrate values of heart, strength and ambition through compassion, kindness, and teamwork.

The outcome of the awards will be announced in the autumn.
